briquilimab

Briquilimab is a humanized, aglycosylated IgG1 kappa monoclonal antibody that targets the cell-surface receptor c-KIT (CD117). By directly inhibiting the binding of stem cell factor (SCF) to KIT, briquilimab blocks KIT signaling and induces mast cell apoptosis via the Bim-mediated pathway. This mechanism leads to depletion of mast cells, which are central to various immunological and inflammatory diseases such as chronic urticaria and asthma. Briquilimab is being developed both as a conditioning agent for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation—enabling engraftment without genotoxic chemotherapy—and as a primary therapeutic for mast-cell driven diseases. The drug was originally developed by Amgen and further advanced by Jasper Therapeutics[1][2][3][5][7].
