Overview

BRL-201 is an innovative, next-generation CAR-T cell therapy developed by BRL Medicine (formerly Bioray Laboratories) for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (R/R B-NHL). It is distinguished as a non-viral, site-specific integrated CAR-T product that targets the CD19 antigen. Utilizing advanced gene editing technology, the chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) is integrated into the PD-1 (PDCD1) locus, effectively knocking out PD-1 expression. This dual approach aims to enhance the anti-tumor activity and persistence of the T cells by preventing PD-1-mediated immunosuppression within the tumor microenvironment. The non-viral manufacturing process offers significant advantages, including reduced production costs and a rapid preparation time of approximately three days. Clinical data has demonstrated high efficacy with an objective response rate of 100% and a favorable safety profile.
