BRM411 is a small molecule kinase inhibitor being developed by BRIM Biotechnology for the treatment of glaucoma. It acts as a dual-target inhibitor of Rho-associated protein kinase 1 (ROCK1), Rho-associated protein kinase 2 (ROCK2), and Myosin Light Chain Kinase 4 (MYLK-4). By targeting these kinases, the drug acts directly on the trabecular meshwork to improve aqueous humor outflow, thereby reducing intraocular pressure (IOP). BRM411 is designed as a once-daily eye drop administered before sleep, specifically aimed at providing superior nighttime IOP control and reducing the common side effect of conjunctival hyperemia associated with first-generation ROCK inhibitors. It was originally developed by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and licensed to BRIM Biotechnology, with development support from Allgenesis Biotherapeutics.
