BRM423 is a novel synthetic peptide being developed by BRIM Biotechnology (also known as Brim Healthcare) for the treatment of severe corneal damage. Derived from human Pigment Epithelium-Derived Factor (PEDF) using the company's proprietary Pigment Epithelium-Derived Factor-derived Short Peptide (PDSP) technology platform, BRM423 acts as a neurotrophic factor that stimulates corneal wound healing and repair. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its ability to promote the growth, expansion, and regeneration of limbal stem cells (LSCs), leading to superior and rapid corneal healing efficacy compared to standard treatments.
