Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The broad spectrum cannabinoid formulation is a cannabis-derived investigational drug product containing the phytocannabinoids cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Developed through a collaboration between the University of Regina and My Next Health Inc., the formulation is designed to target the endocannabinoid system to provide neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory benefits. It is primarily being evaluated for the prevention and treatment of concussions and post-concussion syndrome in athletes participating in contact sports, as well as for pain management as a potential alternative to opioids. The development program is notably supported by funding from the National Football League (NFL) and is currently being studied in a Phase II clinical trial (NCT06204003).
