Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bromelain + diosmin mcgSMIN Plus is a combination dietary supplement designed primarily for support of vascular and capillary health, particularly for conditions involving chronic venous disease (CVD) and chronic venous insufficiency (CVI). Diosmin is a flavonoid (plant-derived polyphenol) with phlebotonic and vasoprotective properties, frequently used to improve venous tone, reduce inflammation, and support microcirculation in conditions such as varicose veins and hemorrhoids. Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme typically extracted from pineapple stems, recognized for its anti-inflammatory, antithrombotic, and fibrinolytic effects, which can enhance vascular health, reduce edema, and support red blood cell membrane stability. mcgSMIN Plus contains diosmin in a form with increased bioavailability, which has been shown in clinical studies to significantly reduce leg swelling and pain and improve quality of life scores in individuals with CVD. The combination may also enhance antioxidant defenses and reduce the viscosity and improve the rheology of red blood cells, resulting in better microcirculatory function[1][2][3].
