Overview

Rednil is an oral fixed-dose combination tablet containing the proteolytic enzymes bromelain and trypsin, along with the antioxidant flavonoid rutoside (rutin). Originally developed by Mucos Pharma under the brand name Phlogenzym, and marketed in India by Anglo-French Drugs & Industries, Rednil is indicated for the management of pre- and post-operative edema, acute pain, inflammation, traumatic injuries, and degenerative joint conditions such as osteoarthritis. The combination works synergistically: bromelain and trypsin break down inflammatory proteins, improve blood circulation, and promote tissue repair, while rutoside acts as an antioxidant to neutralize free radicals, strengthen capillaries, and reduce fluid leakage into tissues.
