Overview

Kinetozyme is an oral fixed-dose combination therapy containing the proteolytic enzymes bromelain and trypsin-chymotrypsin, along with the antioxidant flavonoid rutoside (rutin). It is primarily used in orthopedics and general medicine to reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders (such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis), sports injuries, sprains, strains, and post-operative recovery. Bromelain and trypsin-chymotrypsin act as proteolytic enzymes that break down inflammatory proteins and cellular debris at the site of injury, thereby reducing edema and promoting tissue repair. Rutoside acts as an antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals, strengthens blood vessels, and improves local blood circulation. Kinetozyme is manufactured and marketed by Systopic Laboratories.
