Overview

A combination therapy consisting of bromocriptine, a dopamine D2 receptor agonist, and octreotide, a somatostatin analog. This combination is primarily used for treating acromegaly and has been shown to reduce growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) levels more effectively than either drug alone. The bioavailability of bromocriptine increases by approximately 40% when administered together with octreotide.
