Overview

2-Bromolysergic acid diethylamide hydrobromide (also known as BOL-148 or BETR-001) is a non-hallucinogenic derivative of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD). It acts as a partial agonist at the serotonin 5-HT2A receptor, but unlike LSD, it does not induce psychedelic effects, likely due to differences in signaling bias or receptor kinetics. The compound is primarily being investigated for the prophylactic treatment of cluster headaches, a condition characterized by intense, recurring pain. It has also been explored for other cephalic pain disorders and potentially neuropsychiatric conditions such as depression and PTSD. BetterLife Pharma is the primary developer of this compound under the codes BETR-001 and TD-0148A.
