Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Broncalt RW is a Class I medical device developed by the Italian pharmaceutical company Aurora Biofarma for the symptomatic treatment of respiratory tract conditions, including the common cold, rhinitis, sinusitis, and bronchitis. The product is formulated with salsobromoiodic thermal water from Medesano, Italy, combined with hyaluronic acid, grapefruit seed extract, and glycerin. It functions through a mucoregulatory mechanism that helps maintain the physiological fluidity of mucus while moisturizing and protecting the respiratory mucous membranes. Additionally, the formulation provides antioxidant properties to the treated area. Broncalt RW is suitable for adults and children over three years of age and is administered via aerosol therapy, nasal douche, or direct nasal instillation.
