Bronchial-Husten-Sirup

Bronchial-Husten-Sirup (also marketed as Klosterfrau Bronchial-Husten-Sirup or Broncholind Bronchial-Husten-Sirup) is an over-the-counter herbal cough syrup developed by M.C.M. Klosterfrau Healthcare. It is formulated as a medical device containing a combination of Icelandic moss extract (Cetraria islandica), mallow blossom extract (Malva sylvestris), and honey. The syrup is primarily indicated for the relief of dry, irritating coughs (cough reflex) and mucosal irritation in the mouth and pharynx, particularly for evening or nighttime use. Upon administration, the active botanical mucilages and honey form a physical protective barrier (mucosal film) over the irritated membranes of the upper respiratory tract, shielding them from external stimuli and soothing bronchial symptoms to promote restful sleep.
