Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bronchodual is a combination pharmaceutical drug administered via metered aerosol, consisting of two bronchodilators: fenoterol (a beta-2 adrenergic substance) and ipratropium bromide (an anticholinergic substance). It is primarily used for the long-term treatment of asthma in children and adults. The combination provides a bronchodilating action superior to that of each substance individually, allowing for a reduced dose of the beta-2 adrenergic component, a longer duration of action, and a decrease in the frequency of drug intake, with excellent tolerance.
