Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BRP-007 is a small molecule antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory agent being developed by Bio-Research Pharma. It acts as an inhibitor of the common gamma chain (γc) cytokine receptor family, which includes receptors for several pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-9, IL-15, and IL-21. By targeting this shared receptor subunit, BRP-007 aims to modulate the immune signaling pathways that drive chronic inflammatory skin conditions. The drug is currently in the preclinical to Phase 1 stage of development, specifically targeting plaque psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. It has been patented in the United States, European Union, and Australia for its application in treating psoriasis.
