BRP-011

BRP-011 is a small molecule prostaglandin analogue being developed by BioResearch Pharma as a topical treatment for hair loss conditions, specifically androgenetic alopecia and alopecia areata. It is an active metabolite of latanoprost and acts as a potent agonist of the prostaglandin F (FP) receptor (PGF2α receptor). BRP-011 has demonstrated significantly higher potency compared to latanoprost in activating prostaglandin-dependent hair growth pathways. Initially overlooked due to perceived low bioavailability, subsequent research by BioResearch Pharma confirmed its efficacy in promoting hair growth.
