BRT-STAR

BRT-STAR is an oral fixed-dose combination product developed by Genspec Lifesciences, primarily used as an adjunct anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous agent. It contains two proteolytic enzymes, bromelain (derived from pineapple) and trypsin (a pancreatic enzyme), alongside rutoside (a bioflavonoid). The enzymes facilitate the breakdown of fibrin and inflammatory debris at the site of injury, which helps resolve edema and improve tissue repair. Rutoside acts as a vasoprotective agent by strengthening capillary walls and reducing permeability, further aiding in the reduction of swelling. This combination is commonly indicated for the management of post-operative inflammation, traumatic injuries, and various inflammatory conditions in the Indian market.
