BruMeChol

**BruMeChol** is an Italian oral nutraceutical dietary supplement developed and manufactured by Mivell for use in people with mild hypercholesterolemia. Each capsule contains phytosterols, bergamot fruit extract, olive fruit extract, and vitamin K2; it is supplied as a fixed-dose capsule formulation. Its proposed lipid-management rationale combines reduced intestinal cholesterol absorption by phytosterols with the putative antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and cholesterol-synthesis-modulating activities of bergamot and olive-derived constituents. In a 12-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 118 participants with hypercholesterolemia, BruMeChol did not significantly improve total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, or assessed inflammatory biomarkers versus placebo.
