Overview

BRVLYSIS is a genetically modified oncolytic virus developed by CZ BioMed Corp for the treatment of breast cancer. It is a specific variant of the company's RVLYSIS platform, which utilizes a genetically engineered common-cold-like virus designed to selectively target and destroy malignant cells while sparing normal healthy tissue. BRVLYSIS works through multiple mechanisms: it selectively replicates within breast cancer cells leading to direct lytic rupture, induces apoptosis (programmed cell death), and stimulates a systemic anti-tumor immune response. The drug is currently in the preclinical stage of development, with patents pending in the United States, Europe, and China.
