Overview

BS02 is a monoclonal antibody biosimilar currently in preclinical development by Zhongke Aishen Pharmaceutical (also known as Amshenn). The drug is designed as a biosimilar to the marketed immune checkpoint inhibitor ipilimumab (Yervoy), targeting Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte protein 4 (CTLA-4). By blocking the interaction between CTLA-4 and its ligands (CD80/CD86), BS02 is intended to enhance T-cell activation and proliferation, thereby strengthening the immune response against tumor cells. The program is being developed for oncology indications, aiming to provide a therapeutic alternative with comparable efficacy and safety to the reference product.
