BSB-2002 is an autologous T-cell receptor engineered T-cell (TCR-T) therapy developed by BlueSphere Bio for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) harboring the nucleophosmin 1 (NPM1) mutation. The therapy consists of patient-derived T cells engineered to express a specific T-cell receptor that recognizes a neoantigen peptide derived from the mutated NPM1 protein presented by HLA-A*02:01. By targeting a mutation-specific neoantigen, BSB-2002 aims to selectively eliminate leukemic cells while sparing healthy tissues. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial as a single intravenous infusion following a lymphodepleting chemotherapy regimen.
