Overview

BSC1020 is a recombinant filgrastim biosimilar developed by Biosimilar Solutions, Inc., designed to demonstrate biosimilarity to the reference product filgrastim (Neupogen). Filgrastim is a granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) analog that stimulates the production and maturation of neutrophils from bone marrow progenitor cells, primarily indicated for reducing the duration of severe neutropenia in patients undergoing myelosuppressive chemotherapy. The product's registrational clinical trials, with design reviewed and approved by the FDA, were initiated in 2022 to support regulatory approval as a biosimilar.
