Overview

BSI-093 is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting butyrophilin subfamily 3 members (BTN3A1, BTN3A2, and BTN3A3), developed by Biosion for cancer immunotherapy. It acts as an agonist of BTN3A proteins to activate Vγ9Vδ2 T cells, a subset of gamma delta T cells known for their potent anti-tumor activity. By binding with high affinity to all BTN3A family members and activating Vγ9Vδ2 T cells, BSI-093 aims to enhance immune-mediated tumor cell killing across various cancers. The antibody features Fc-engineering for potentially longer half-life and silenced Fc-effector function. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its strong activity in ex vivo tumor cell killing assays and significant anti-tumor efficacy in animal models[1][4].
