BSI-128

BSI-128 (also known as AK2024) is a novel Class 1 innovative monoclonal antibody targeting the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2), developed by Biosion in partnership with AnkeBio. Unlike existing therapies such as trastuzumab and pertuzumab, BSI-128 binds to a unique epitope on the HER2 receptor. Its primary mechanism involves promoting rapid HER2 receptor internalization and degradation at rates significantly higher than current standard-of-care antibodies, which may help overcome resistance to existing treatments. Additionally, BSI-128 maintains robust antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and exhibits strong synergistic antitumor effects when combined with trastuzumab. The drug is currently being evaluated for the treatment of HER2-positive advanced solid tumors.
