Overview

bsPAM4 is a bispecific F(ab')2 antibody developed for radioimmunoscintigraphy and potential radioimmunotherapy of pancreatic cancer. It is designed for a pretargeting method, where one arm of the antibody targets the MUC1 mucin glycoprotein, which is overexpressed in pancreatic cancer cells, and the other arm binds to subsequently administered radiolabeled peptide haptens. This approach aims to improve tumor-to-nontumor ratios for better imaging and potentially more effective targeted therapy. It was developed with contributions from Immunomedics, Inc. and the Garden State Cancer Center.
