Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**BT-001**, formerly **PGN-001**, is an investigational oral drug-device combination developed by Progenity and subsequently Biora Therapeutics for ulcerative colitis. It contains a liquid formulation or variant of the anti-tumor necrosis factor alpha monoclonal antibody adalimumab and is delivered by Biora's ingestible NaviCap targeted-delivery capsule to the lower gastrointestinal tract. Local colonic delivery is intended to neutralize tumor necrosis factor alpha at inflamed intestinal tissue while limiting systemic exposure relative to conventional injected adalimumab.
