Overview

BTF3-siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of Basic Transcription Factor 3 (BTF3). BTF3 is a component of the nascent polypeptide-associated complex (NAC) and acts as an RNA polymerase II transcription factor. In preclinical studies, particularly in malignant melanoma, silencing BTF3 using siRNA has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation, induce cell cycle arrest in the G1 and S phases, and promote apoptosis. Research conducted at The First Hospital of Jilin University indicates that BTF3 is overexpressed in various tumors and its knockdown reduces tumorigenicity in vivo.
