Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BTM001 is a cross-linked sodium hyaluronate gel developed by BioJeTay for the treatment of pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee. As a viscosupplement, it is administered via intra-articular injection to replenish the viscoelasticity of the synovial fluid, which is typically degraded in osteoarthritic joints. The proprietary cross-linking technology is designed to enhance the residence time of the hyaluronic acid within the joint space, providing sustained lubrication and shock absorption. It is intended for patients who have failed to respond adequately to conservative non-pharmacological therapy or simple analgesics such as acetaminophen.
