Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BTX-401 is a recombinant protein vaccine candidate developed by the Human Stem Cells Institute (Artgen) and its subsidiary Betuvax for the prevention of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection. The vaccine is built on the 'Betusfera' platform, which utilizes a corpuscular adjuvant derived from betulin, a natural triterpenoid found in birch bark. This platform is designed to enhance the immunogenicity of recombinant proteins while maintaining a high safety profile. BTX-401 aims to stimulate a robust immune response against HPV antigens to prevent infections that can lead to cervical cancer and other HPV-related conditions. It is currently in the discovery and preclinical stages of development.
