Overview

BTX-501 is a recombinant protein vaccine candidate under development by the Human Stem Cells Institute (Artgen) and its subsidiary Betuvax for the prevention of rotavirus infection. The vaccine is built on the Betusfera platform, which utilizes a corpuscular adjuvant derived from betulin, a natural triterpenoid compound found in birch bark. BTX-501 incorporates recombinant rotavirus antigens designed to elicit a protective immune response against the virus. As of the latest pipeline information, the project is in the discovery and preclinical research phase.
