Bub1b siRNA is a research-grade small interfering RNA (siRNA) reagent designed to silence the expression of the BUB1B gene (also known as BubR1 or BUB1 Mitotic Checkpoint Serine/Threonine Kinase B). BUB1B is an essential component of the spindle assembly checkpoint (SAC) that regulates chromosome alignment and segregation during mitosis. By knocking down BUB1B expression, this siRNA disrupts the mitotic checkpoint, leading to cell cycle arrest, mitotic catastrophe, and apoptosis in rapidly proliferating cells. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its utility in inhibiting cancer cell proliferation and overcoming drug resistance in various oncology models, including breast cancer (particularly triple-negative breast cancer), multiple myeloma, and gastric cancer. It is widely available from multiple life-science reagent suppliers for research use only.
