budesonide + beclomethasone

Budesonide + beclomethasone is a combination of two inhaled corticosteroids, both widely used for the long-term management and control of asthma. Each component acts as a synthetic glucocorticoid with potent anti-inflammatory properties. Budesonide and beclomethasone work by binding to the glucocorticoid receptor in airway cells, suppressing inflammatory gene expression, reducing airway hyperresponsiveness, and decreasing the release of pro-inflammatory mediators such as cytokines, histamine, leukotrienes, and eicosanoids[5][6][7][8]. Both drugs are indicated for maintenance therapy in asthma but are not intended for acute relief of bronchospasm.
