Overview
CP006 Inhalation Powder is an investigational single-inhaler triple therapy (SITT) containing budesonide (an inhaled corticosteroid), formoterol (a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist), and umeclidinium (a long-acting muscarinic antagonist). Developed by Shanghai Xin Huanghe Pharmaceutical and Shanghai Chenbang Pharmaceutical Technology, CP006 is designed for the maintenance treatment of asthma. By combining three complementary mechanisms of action—anti-inflammatory activity via the glucocorticoid receptor, bronchodilation via beta2-adrenergic receptor activation, and bronchoprotection via muscarinic M3 receptor antagonism—the triple combination aims to improve lung function and asthma control in patients who remain inadequately controlled on dual therapies.
