Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bufei Jiedu Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Longhua Hospital, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily investigated as an adjunctive therapy for the treatment of refractory Mycobacterium avium pulmonary disease (MAC-PD). The formulation is designed to tonify the lung and detoxify, addressing the underlying TCM patterns associated with chronic pulmonary infections. In clinical studies, it is evaluated in combination with standard antibiotic regimens, such as the CONVERT regimen (amikacin liposome inhalation suspension-based therapy), to improve sputum culture conversion rates and alleviate clinical symptoms in patients who have failed conventional multi-drug therapy.
