Overview
Buguzhi total glycosides capsules is a botanical drug candidate consisting of the total glycoside fraction extracted from *Psoralea corylifolia* L. (Fructus Psoraleae), a traditional Chinese medicine known as Buguzhi. Developed by the Jiangsu Province Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the drug is intended for the treatment of primary osteoporosis. The extract contains various bioactive compounds, including phytoestrogens, which are thought to stimulate osteoblast differentiation and inhibit osteoclast activity, thereby improving bone mineral density. It is currently undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation in China to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic profile in healthy volunteers.
