Drug intelligence / Profile preview
buntanetap + dulaglutide is an investigational combination therapy being developed by Annovis Bio for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD). Buntanetap is an orally available small molecule that inhibits the translation of neurotoxic proteins such as amyloid precursor protein (APP), tau, and alpha-synuclein, thereby reducing neuroinflammation and improving synaptic function. Dulaglutide (Trulicity) is a glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist traditionally used for type 2 diabetes, which has shown neuroprotective effects in preclinical models. Preclinical data suggest that the combination of buntanetap and dulaglutide may have synergistic effects, potentially restoring or even enhancing cognitive function beyond healthy control levels.
