Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A fixed-combination procedural injection kit containing **bupivacaine hydrochloride**, **triamcinolone acetonide**, and **povidone-iodine** for office-based or point-of-care musculoskeletal and related corticosteroid injection procedures. Bupivacaine hydrochloride is a long-acting amide local anesthetic small molecule that blocks voltage-gated sodium channel-mediated nerve impulse initiation and conduction to provide local or regional anesthesia. Triamcinolone acetonide is a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid small molecule that activates the glucocorticoid receptor to suppress inflammatory gene expression and reduce local inflammation after intra-articular, intramuscular, or other local injection. Povidone-iodine is a topical iodophor antiseptic used for skin preparation before injection to reduce microbial contamination risk. The product is marketed as a convenience kit, including under the brand name BT Injection Kit, and is intended to streamline procedures requiring antiseptic preparation, local anesthesia, and corticosteroid administration rather than to create a new molecular entity.
