buquinolate

Buquinolate is a synthetic small molecule belonging to the hydroquinolone class, structurally characterized as a quinoline derivative. It was developed and used as an anticoccidial agent in poultry, specifically for the prevention of coccidiosis in broilers and layers. The drug was approved by the U.S. FDA for this veterinary use but has since been withdrawn from the market[3][4].
