Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bushen Huoxue Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Guang'anmen Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of coronary heart disease (CHD) and stable angina pectoris, specifically targeting patients presenting with the TCM syndrome of kidney deficiency and blood stasis. The therapeutic rationale is based on the TCM principles of tonifying the kidney (Bushen) and promoting blood circulation to resolve stasis (Huoxue). It is currently being evaluated in multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials to assess its efficacy in reducing angina frequency and improving cardiovascular function.
