Bushen Qiangdu Prescription

Bushen Qiangdu Prescription (BSQD) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the China-Japan Friendship Hospital, specifically within its rheumatology department, for the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis (AS). The prescription is designed based on the TCM principle of "tonifying the kidney and strengthening the Du meridian," which is believed to address the underlying pathogenesis of spinal stiffness and pain in AS patients. It typically comprises a combination of herbs such as Rehmannia glutinosa, Epimedium, and Cibotium barometz.
