Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bushen Shengxue is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by Xiyuan Hospital of the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Sciences, specifically for the treatment of aplastic anemia. The formula is based on the TCM principle of "tonifying the kidney to generate blood" (Bushen Shengxue), which aims to restore hematopoietic function and improve clinical outcomes in patients with bone marrow failure. It is frequently studied and administered in combination with "Nourishing Qi" (Yi Qi) methods. Clinical research, including randomized controlled trials registered in the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR), has focused on its potential to increase curative rates and decrease recurrence rates in aplastic anemia by modulating the immune system and supporting the bone marrow microenvironment.
