Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Bushen Shugan Detoxification Granule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound formula used primarily for the treatment of mood disorders in menopausal women, particularly those diagnosed with kidney deficiency and liver-qi stagnation patterns. The formula is composed of multiple herbal ingredients designed to "tonify the kidney," "soothe the liver," and promote detoxification according to TCM theory. Clinical studies have shown that Bushen-Shugan granule can significantly improve physical and psychological symptoms such as anxiety and depression in menopausal women with moderate to serious mood disorders. The mechanism of action is not fully elucidated by Western pharmacology but is believed to involve modulation of neuroendocrine function, improvement of emotional regulation, and possible immunomodulatory effects[7]. It is administered orally as a granulated preparation.
