Buventol Easyhaler

Buventol Easyhaler is a branded dry powder inhaler formulation of salbutamol (albuterol) sulfate, a short-acting selective beta2-adrenergic receptor agonist used as a rapid-acting bronchodilator for the relief and prevention of acute bronchospasm in asthma, exercise-induced bronchospasm, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with reversible airway obstruction.[1][7][17] By selectively stimulating beta2 receptors in bronchial smooth muscle, salbutamol activates adenylyl cyclase, increases intracellular cAMP, and promotes relaxation of airway smooth muscle, leading to prompt bronchodilation within minutes and a duration of action of about 4–6 hours.[1][2] Buventol Easyhaler is intended as a “reliever” or rescue medication rather than long-term controller therapy, and is marketed in multiple regions by Orion and its partners for on-demand symptomatic treatment and prophylaxis before exercise.[1][5][8][11][13][17]
