Buxu Jiedu Huayu granule

Buxu Jiedu Huayu granule (also referred to as Buxu Jiedu Huayu Decoction or Buqi Jiedu Huayu granule) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Shanghai Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily investigated for the treatment of primary thrombocytosis (essential thrombocythemia). The formulation is designed to tonify deficiency, detoxify, and resolve blood stasis, which are key therapeutic principles in TCM for managing myeloproliferative disorders. Clinical evaluation focuses on its ability to reduce platelet counts and aggregation, as well as its impact on Bcl-2 levels, often when used as an adjunct to standard hydroxyurea therapy.
