Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Buxue Yimu Keli is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) granule formulation primarily used for postpartum recovery. It is composed of several botanical extracts, typically including *Leonurus japonicus* (Motherwort), *Angelica sinensis* (Danggui), *Astragalus membranaceus* (Huangqi), *Paeonia lactiflora* (Baishao), and *Rehmannia glutinosa* (Dihuang). The formulation is designed to tonify blood and regulate menstruation, specifically addressing postpartum conditions such as anemia, lochia retention, and abdominal pain. Its therapeutic effects are attributed to its ability to promote uterine involution (contraction of the uterus) and stimulate hematopoiesis to improve red blood cell parameters. It is widely available in the Chinese pharmaceutical market and has been included in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia.
