Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BW-02 is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by Argo Biopharma in collaboration with Novartis. It is currently in Phase II development for the treatment of hypertension. As an siRNA, BW-02 functions by utilizing the RNA interference pathway to selectively suppress the expression of a specific gene, thereby reducing the production of a protein implicated in the pathogenesis of hypertension. This targeted approach aims to address the underlying molecular mechanisms contributing to the disease.
