Drug intelligence / Profile preview
BWS-25 is a preclinical-stage small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic candidate being developed by Chengdu Xinzhenghe Pharmaceutical Technology, an affiliate of Argo Biopharma, for the treatment of an undisclosed genetic rare disease. As an siRNA molecule, BWS-25 is designed to silence the expression of a specific target gene involved in the pathogenesis of the rare condition by leveraging the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway. The drug is part of Argo Biopharma's pipeline of RNA-based therapies that utilize proprietary delivery platforms to target hepatocytes or other tissues. As of 2024, the program remains in the preclinical phase of development.
