Overview

BYON4413 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Byondis that targets CD123, also known as the interleukin-3 receptor alpha chain. CD123 is highly expressed on various hematological malignancies, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML), myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), B cell precursor acute lymphocytic leukemia (BCP-ALL), chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), and blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN). The drug consists of a monoclonal antibody directed against CD123 conjugated to a cytotoxic agent from the duocarmycin class. Its mechanism involves binding to CD123-expressing cells and delivering the cytotoxic payload, leading to targeted cell death. BYON4413 is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials for relapsed/refractory AML and MDS, with potential for use in other CD123-positive hematological cancers[1][4][5][7].
