Overview

C-82 is a small molecule drug that acts as an inhibitor of CREBBP (cAMP-response element binding protein binding protein) and CTNNB1 (Catenin beta 1). It was initially developed by PRISM BioLab. The compound is a prodrug of PRI-724 and is being investigated for its potential to modulate Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathways, which are implicated in fibrotic diseases and certain cancers. Clinical development has focused on topical formulations for conditions such as systemic sclerosis (scleroderma), CREST syndrome, and plaque psoriasis[3][4].
