Overview

C-CAR011 is a proprietary, autologous chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) therapy in which a patient's own T lymphocytes are genetically modified using a lentiviral vector to express a second-generation CAR targeting the tumor-associated antigen CD19. The construct includes undisclosed costimulatory signaling domains. C-CAR011 is designed to recognize and bind to CD19-expressing malignant B cells, leading to their destruction through cytolytic activity and cytokine release. It has been investigated primarily for relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (B-NHL), including diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and follicular lymphoma, as well as for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Clinical studies have demonstrated safety and some durable responses in heavily pretreated patients[1][3][4][5].
