Overview

c-IDCT is an investigational allogeneic cell therapy being developed by DiscGenics for the treatment of cervical disc degeneration. The therapy utilizes DiscGenics' proprietary "Discogenic Cell" technology, which consists of specialized progenitor cells derived from adult human intervertebral disc tissue. These cells are engineered to be non-immunogenic and are delivered via a single, non-surgical intradiscal injection. Once administered, c-IDCT is intended to reduce local inflammation and promote the regeneration of the intervertebral disc matrix, potentially restoring disc height and function. While the company's lead candidate, rebonuputemcel (IDCT), is focused on the lumbar spine, c-IDCT is specifically tailored for the cervical region of the spine.
